Our Founding Story
New Addin Auto Glass Repairing was founded in 2004 by a specialist who had spent three years working alongside Kuwait-certified auto glass repair technicians in the Gulf. In Kuwait's vehicle maintenance market, professional windshield crack repair using optical-grade resin injection had been the industry standard for over a decade. The default first response to any windshield crack was assessment and repair - replacement was the last resort, not the first conversation.
Returning to Bangladesh, the contrast was stark. Every cracked windshield in Dhaka led to the same conclusion: "You need a new windshield." No assessment. No repair option. The entire Dhaka auto glass market was configured around replacement - glass dealers and garages that profited from selling imported glass, with no incentive to offer a repair service that would eliminate that revenue.
The gap between what was available in Bangladesh and what was possible with internationally available technology became the founding insight of New Addin Auto Glass Repairing. Starting with a single Glass Mechanix professional repair kit and a workshop-first quality standard, the business launched in 2004 as the first dedicated windshield crack repair specialist in Dhaka.
The first year was built on proof of concept. Customer after customer arrived expecting a Tk 30,000 replacement bill and left with their original windshield repaired, a BRTA fitness certificate, and a bill under Tk 3,000. Word spread through WhatsApp and Google Reviews faster than any advertising could have achieved.
By 2017, demand required a permanent location. The Jolshiri Mor workshop at 300 Feet Road, Dhaka was established - chosen specifically for its central accessibility from all major Dhaka arterial roads: 300 Feet Road to the north, Rampura Bridge access to the east, and direct connection to Mirpur Road to the west.
Between 2017 and 2022, the team expanded from two to eight certified specialists. Glass Mechanix authorization was obtained, making New Addin Auto Glass Repairing one of the only Glass Mechanix Authorized Repair Centers in Bangladesh. By 2024, the business had completed over 10,000 documented repairs - the largest repair volume of any dedicated windshield specialist in Bangladesh. By 2026, that figure exceeds 10,500.
